Named Accounts
Account lifecycle
Named accounts transition through specific stages:
- ACTIVE: Default status upon creation. Ready to send and receive funds. In the API, this is indicated by the
activefield being set totrue. - DEACTIVATED: Reversible action. While an account is deactivated, it cannot send or receive money. Any credits sent to a deactivated account will be automatically returned to the originator.
- CLOSED: Irreversible action. Once closed, the account cannot be reopened. To successfully close an account, the balance must be exactly zero.
