Named Accounts
Onboarding (KYC)
Account holder onboarding
The Named Account opening process begins with the submission of Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation. The required dataset differs depending on whether the customer is an individual or a business entity.
There are two primary methods for submitting KYC data to Volt:
- Onboarding API: Submit data directly via the
POST /onboarding/individualendpoint. - Token sharing: If you have already collected KYC data through a third-party provider, you can submit it via a secure token share. Please contact the Volt Sales Team or your Account Manager to confirm which KYC providers are currently supported for this method.
Once KYC data is submitted, it undergoes automated verification. The status of the onboarding request is communicated asynchronously via webhook notifications.
An onboarding record does not have an expiration date, allowing you to re-use the same verified identity to:
- Open additional accounts for the same individual or business.
- Provision new accounts in different currencies as your customer's needs evolve.
