Volt currently supports payments in the following currencies:
Notice!
Please note that Open Banking is a like-for-like processing/settlement scheme. At this time, Volt cannot convert between currencies.
EUR – Euro
Euros can be sent between countries in the SEPA zone. We support both SEPA and SEPA Instant payments (note that some banks such as Commerzbank and ING charge to send SEPA Instant payments).
EUR payments can also be sent to countries outside the SEPA zone. Additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and payments can take longer to arrive.
Note that SEPA payments can be cancelled after initiation, so please do not release goods or services.
GBP – Pound Sterling
Sterling payments of up to £1m can be sent between banks in the UK using the Faster Payments system (please note, however, that most banks have internal limits of £25,000, £30,000 or £50,000. See pay.uk for further information on transaction limits). Payments usually arrive in the destination bank account within minutes but in some cases, where smaller banks or financial institutions are indirect participants in the scheme, they can take up to two hours.
Once Faster Payments are sent, they cannot be cancelled.
GBP payments can also be sent internationally. Additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and payments might take up to two days to arrive.
PLN – Polish Złoty
Polish Złoty can be sent between banks in Poland. PLN payments can also be sent internationally; however, additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and will take longer to arrive.
BRL – Brazilian Real
We process Brazilian Real in Brazil only. However, we use FX to settle internationally in the preferred local currency. Note that additional taxes may apply depending on what services merchants offer.
NOK – Norwegian Krone
Norwegian Krone can be sent between banks in Norway. NOK payments can also be sent internationally; however, additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and will take longer to arrive.
SEK – Swedish Krona
Swedish Krona can be sent between banks in Sweden. SEK payments can also be sent internationally; however, additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and will take longer to arrive.
DKK – Danish Krone
Danish Krona can be sent between banks in Denmark. DKK payments can also be sent internationally; however, additional charges may be incurred for both the merchant and sender and will take longer to arrive.
